All our Hairdressing and Barbering courses are available to fund privately provided a sponsor employer is in place to deliver the practical skills of the qualification and to provide work experience.

City & Guilds Education and Training Level 3

City & Guilds Education and Training Level 3 qualification provides introduction to teaching skills, where you will learn: – How to identify learning needs, planning and delivering effective and engaging learning.  This qualification would help anyone responsible for salon training regardless whether it is theory or practical skills.

  • Inclusive teaching and learning approaches
  • Assessment of learners
  • Facilitating learning and development for individuals
  • Facilitating learning and development for groups
  • Understanding principles and practices of assessment

City & Guilds TAQA

City & Guilds TAQA City & Guilds Level 3 6317-31 award in assessing competence in the work environment,  3617-33 level 3 certificate in assessing vocational achievement. We also offer verifier awards 6317-41 L4 Award in Internal Quality Assurance of processes and practice, 6317-42 Certificate in Lead Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment of Processes and Practice.

During the level 3 courses you will learn how to

  • Examine work products
  • Oral questioning techniques
  • Discussions
  • Use of witness testimony
  • Learner statements
  • Recognition of prior learning (RPL)
  • You should hold the relevant commercial occupational standards or have the equivalent experience.

The Level 4 Courses are only relevant for people already qualified as an assessor and wish to progress to an (IQA)  Internal quality assurance role within a training provider or college.
