About Us

Who are we?

Introtrain & Forum Limited (IFL) is based in The Kidlington Centre with easy access to buses and trains.  We have a purpose-built training centre with a large practical training salon and a light and airy classroom. Both rooms can accommodate up to 9 apprentices at any one time.

We can offer flexible training routes: – classroom theory delivery together with practical hairdressing techniques in a fully equipped training salon.  For those unable to attend our centre or where the employer prefers our training consultants to deliver in the salon, we can offer full ‘open learning’ packages for delivery in the workplace, inclusive of Functional Skills if required.

The integral management team at IFL are highly qualified and experienced in teaching, training and assessing staff, delivering high-quality qualifications within the Hair & Beauty and Education and Training industry.

IFL will:

  • Offer excellent one to one support, theory training and guidance
  • Visit apprentices in the workplace monthly or apprentices can attend our centre
  • Offer support on recruiting staff, managing apprentices, funding opportunities, the NMW, Health & Safety and safeguarding
  • Ensure all the salons we work with are checked for apprenticeship delivery requirements e.g. Health & safety and insurance arrangements are in place together with appropriate staff to train apprentices
  • Train salon staff to assess to the national standards
  • Offer teaching qualifications to give staff the knowledge to inspire apprentices in our industry
  • Offer a variety of progression routes
  • Offer annual trips to salon international
  • Use an e-portfolio to monitor assessment and achievement, employers are given a login to check progress

Equality & Diversity

We aim to increase our ability to accommodate apprentices with declared disabilities/learning issues and to aim for successful achievement.

We aim to increase the intake of apprentices from ethnic minority groups across all apprenticeship areas towards the local profile.

We aim to exceed the national average for the recruitment of males into hairdressing and barbering apprenticeships, and to ensure that success rates between males and females for all participating in work-based learning provision are consistently high.

Health & Safety, Safeguarding and PREVENT

IFL has a strong commitment to Health & Safety and its core value within the business. There is a Health & Safety Policy which is reviewed annually and embraces the concept of the ‘safe learner’.

All apprentices receive the relevant information on safeguarding and PREVENT and all potential issues are effectively addressed. Our policies and procedures are assessed and reviewed annually.

Privately funded Hairdressing and Barbering, Education & Training and TAQA qualifications

All our Hairdressing and Barbering courses are available to fund privately provided a sponsor employer is in place to deliver the practical skills of the qualification and to provide work experience.
